I am the founder of the  Mariya’s Cakes & Art company.

I have been a professional sugar artist since 2010. Currently, I do international cake decoration workshops and teach courses. I have trained over 1000 students all around the world with online and face to face classes. My sugar art was featured in various local and international TV channels and prestigious cake decorating magazines.

I have BsA in Sculpture from Veliko Tarnovo University in Bulgaria. Upon graduation, I worked as an art teacher at a primary school in my hometown.

I moved to Istanbul, Turkey in 2001. I worked at the restoration laboratory of Sakip Sabanci Museum -one of the most prestigious private museums in Turkey. My work involved restoring paintings by well-known international and Turkish painters such as Osman Hamdi Bey, Aivazovski, and Fausto Zonaro.

I am the founder of the annual ‘’My Bulgaria Cake Collaboration”. Every year I provide a venue for Bulgarian sugar artists from all around the world to exhibit their work on Bulgarian culture and heritage at this national event.

I received numerous awards at international contests both individually and as a member of the Turkish National Culinary Team.
